Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Dan moved to Hutchinson in 2009 to partner and practice with Jeff Wright. His passion and focus is working with small business owners to provide effective tax and accounting advice and service. Dan is a partner with every one of his small business clients, helping each one work toward their respective idea of success.
Dan received his masters of science of accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City before starting his public accounting career in 2005 with PricewaterhouseCoopers. After that he joined the CPA firm Clifton Gunderson (now Clifton Larson Allen), where he fell in love with small business tax and accounting work. This passion led him to start an accounting practice in his spare bedroom in Colorado, and during nights and weekends he provided small business accounting and tax preparation services. In 2009, he had the opportunity to join Jeff in his practice, so Dan moved his family to Hutchinson to work with Jeff and has never looked back. Here he gets to do what he loves—give small business owners effective tax and accounting service that positively affects their bottom line.
Dan is a certified public accountant licensed in Kansas and Colorado and is a member of the Kansas Society of CPAs. Dan is also on the board of directors and serves as treasurer for the Children’s Emergency Shelter Home in Hutchinson.
Dan and his wife Rebecca have four children, and they’ve made the Hutchinson community their home. The family is active with CrossPoint church in Hutchinson. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, movies, traveling, building things, and working in his garden.
